This is by far the easiest way to grow grass for your cats.
Pure Vermiculite is the easiest thing to grow it in. No soil is required. In a coffee mug, I use three parts vermiculite, mix a few seeds of oat grass (10 – 20) in the top. I then stir it dry with my finger so the seeds make there way down a bit. Then I add two parts water. I don’t have to touch it ever again.
I do one every two weeks. After 2 weeks, the roots get to crazy and thick and the grass dies.
The initial cost will be high ($20-$30 for 50 cat grass or more), but over time it is cheaper than buying grass kits ($5 per kit). The grass kit is pretty much the same formula I use.
