This game has grown on me.
The ship building can be a bit clunky and awkward.
The scope of the game is not huge. Planet landing areas are postage stamp size.
It is kind of tower defence, kind of rogue-like. I dislike both those genres.
But I like it.
Aliens keep infecting your ship, and you have to clean them out.
Your AI staff are borderline stupid.
Resources to build your ship, guns, and get around are scare, so it becomes grindy.
Why exactly do I like it? It is hard to say. Balance? Alien theme? Threat of being boarded and attacked by pirates? The ability to board ships? I am not sure. All I can say is I keep coming back to it. Maybe I like the constant sense of dread 馃檪
